Say Hello

Just a few hours before the new year and I manage to sneak in a post. heehee. We're supposed to go over to my grandparents' house to celebrate but my parents are too lazy to move yet so we're stuck at home for the moment. I'm not particularly excited about the new year (I have to go back to school - Back to the old UP grind) but in a way I am, a little excited. I wonder what 2011 will bring since 2010 was pretty awesome. I hope I'll get to go on more thrifting escapades, hopefully somewhere in QC since the only place i've gone thrifting is in my hometown.

I cut my hair. Well, the bangs at least. The other parts of my hair more or less stayed the same. BANGS. And I dyed it black. BLACK. Well, black is my natural hair color but this black is just so...BLACK. Extremely black. I  feel like I'm wearing a wig or something. BUT I want to be positive about my hair. Sort of. New year, new look. At least.

So this is what I'm wearing to greet the new year. A flower printed thrifted dress and my oxfords. My brother says my hair makes me look like a doll. Hmm. Can't see it much really.  XD

This is taken from our house by the way so now you know what our house looks like. Well, the stairs at least.

I LOVE MY OXFORDS. I spent like, 4 hours at Festival Mall (which is pretty far from my hometown, I mean it's at Filinvest so it's sort of on the way but it's still relatively far) looking for oxfords, and I hoped I would find some but I didn't. I found this pair at SM Lipa. Figures, I would find some in my hometown when I WASN'T looking. Thank goodness my mother has a kind heart and finances my closet endeavors. :)

Just some weird random shots I took.

I don't know how to end this post so I'll just stop here.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :)

Bluer Than Blue

My pictures are different today. They're very...blue. Hahaha. Well, it's not an indication of my mood. Or is it? Perhaps, because I SERIOUSLY HAVE TO GET TO WORK. Srsly. Acads and all that stuff. So I'm taking the opportunity to post while I can. I'm going to stay up tonight (which I do pretty much every night, but that doesn't mean I'm productive or anything *darn you internet/tv*). I hope I get some work done. I'm knee deep in things to do. :|

So anyway, this necklace was a gift from my mom. Sorry for the weird photos, it's pretty dark and I took these shots myself (while I was wearing the necklace so you can imagine how awkward taking pictures would be). I'm wearing this blue dress which I found during one of my 'thrifting' expeditions. I met with my highschool classmates and they said it so did not look like it was from ukay and so yeay.

This is the dress. partly the reason I went with the bluish theme. When I tried editing the pictures the blue of the dress looked a bit...off. So I went with this blue-ish effect instead. Wore my new shoes. Yeay Christmas presents.

Headless because...my face looks so worn out already. SUTOHRESSED MUCH? :< (It's vacation for pete's sake.)

I'm actually holding on to a pole here, but I look like I'm a)pushing someone away or b) in that 'please don't leave me' pose.

That weird headless pose #2.

My favorite shot of the necklace. A nice way to end this long-ish post I think. :)

Black on Black

Wasn't able to take a picture of my entire outfit today. Took multiple shots of my legs instead. Hahaha. I have to say....my legs....look.....really....thin. XD
Anyway, I was wearing this over-sized gray long sleeved shirt, black tights, and black wedges as you can see in the picture.

I seem to have a fascination for wedges/heels these days. I keep on trying heels (although I have no intention of buying them XD)
Lace-ups seem to be all the rage, which is fine for me,, since I've always liked lace-ups. I hope they don't become too much of a trend though, otherwise I'll probably get sick of them.

As you've probably noticed my pictures have this old-ish effect. I've decided to do that constantly for this blog, so at least my pictures have a consistent feel to them. It matches the background too. :)

Waiting For Christmas

Christmas is only a few hours away.

Wow. Second post? Excited much? Hahaha. I an't find anything to do while waiting for Christmas, although my brother is bugging me to llet him use the computer. Had this pseudo photo shoot a couple of days ago. I've already uploaded the chosen shot at lookbook.nu, facebook and tumblr so here are a few of the not chosen shots. Wore this plaid grey and black long sleeved shirt/polo, loose shorts with woven belt and brown leather lace-ups. Which are HIGH might I add. Imma include a shot of that killer wedge.

My grandmother was looking at me weirdly while I was doing this. I don't blame her. XD I love this sofa. It has such a vintage feel. Especially the pillow covers.

This was taken at the terrace. You can't tell from this shot but it is EXTREMELY dusty. I've been in so many dusty places recently. Must be the reason behind my sniffles. :<

.

Close up shot of the shoes. Looks like I didn't tie the strings very well. :|

I felt so tall wearing these shoes. I must have been...5'8 or something with the shoes on. My friends told me I kind of looked scary with the shoes. Hahaha. That was one tough day. I don't think I want to wear these shoes again at UP. I might not survive.

Let Me Tell You a Story

First blog entry. Yeay.

I've been so inspired lately, well, with regard to fashion that is. I've recently discovered another fashion blogger who really really captures the style I want to go for. That flower child/kooky artist/musician vibe. For now I think I'm stuck in boho-ish/hippie-ish (with my dresses and all) and vintage-y-ish. I needed to figure out my style direction. I think I'm getting there. I think. I think this blog will help me to that goal. So here goes.

This was taken at a fairy tale inspired display at our mall. Once again, my photographer is my youngest brother (who is the only person I can fool into taking my pictures. Hahaha.)

My expression in the right is a bit weird. Hahaha.
I super love my bag. Thrifted! I saw this Burberry bag (Don't know if it was an original though) at this new ukay-ukay place I'm going to and I wanted to buy it but it was a tad too expensive. Compared to this bag which cost me only a two digit number. Care to guess how much? :)
